Getting to the Core of Netpak’s Sustainability Certifications

Getting to the Core of Netpak’s Sustainability Certifications

In today’s day and age, consumers are more aware of their impact on the environment than ever before. Consumers know want to know where products come from and how they are made. With the internet and through other measures, they are now able to get informed and conduct their own research on eco-friendly options. In order to showcase their sustainability efforts and get with the times, many companies are now obtaining eco-friendly certifications.

These designations have greater importance in the decision-making process of buyers, as well as in that of businesses. Their feeling of responsibility towards their community and the environment is now greater and becomes critical in deciding on buying a product packaged with eco-friendly certified materials rather than one that isn’t certified.

Netpak is proud to have earned numerous certifications that ensure the materials we procure are sourced in a responsible manner. These certifications prove Netpak’s commitment towards sustainability and ensuring our production runs in the most efficient and eco-friendly manner possible.

  • SFI® CERTIFIED

The Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI®) is an independent, non-profit organization responsible for maintaining, overseeing and improving a sustainable forestry certification program. This program is internationally recognized and is the largest single forest standard in the world. The standard is used widely across North America and has strong acceptance in the global marketplace ensuring the supply of wood and paper products are derived from legal and responsible sources

  • FSC® CERTIFIED

The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC®) guarantees customers that the FSC®-labelled products they buy has come from a forest and supply chain that is managed responsibly. To achieve FSC® certification, you must adhere to ten rules that cover the essentials of responsible forest management. These rules apply worldwide, across all ecosystems and cultural, political, and legal systems, with specific guidance provided for local interpretation.

What are the practical implications of such certifications? Your consumers will ensure they are buying products that, as do Netpak’s core values, strive to minimize their environmental impact on the planet while using raw materials from responsibly managed forests.
