In-flight catering is a very challenging environment for food manufacturers as pressure and altitude alter food properties and and taste perception. But it is also very demanding on the packaging side. Preparation and storage space within the cabin is very restrictive, usability is also constrained by the small size of the passengers tray. Finally, the different catering packaging units need to be cleared quickly with the smallest possible impact on waste volume.
