Tear features, tuck closures, dispenser panels, hang tabs, windows, inserts, multipacks and right-sized cartons can all improve usability when they are matched to the product. The key is to choose features that serve a real function rather than adding cost or production risk.
Convenience must also be balanced against protection and recovery. A feature that improves use may affect barrier performance, material separation, recyclability or production efficiency if it is not specified carefully.
